After years of gameplay and memories, we must announce that it is time to terminate two of our oldest maps – Daendroc and Ellador. By now they are filled with ruins, grief and are not up to standards compared to the other maps out there. I’m sure you want to ask why we don’t simply enable MassiveRestore on these beloved maps and keep them? The answer to that is that MassiveRestore requires a backup map to operate and there are no backups for these maps.

We have been trying our very best to keep these maps up and operational for you to enjoy, but it has come to the point where they are more trouble than they’re worth. They cost server resources and not many people live there any more. The decision has been made to remove these maps on the 1st of January, 2016.

But do not despair! When something old is lost, something new and better will take it’s place! The World Staff of MassiveCraft are already hard at work on new maps of unrivaled quality to take the place of these two old ones. All of our future maps will be delivered using the latest technology and plug-in compability.

You have this last month to explore these old maps once more, for people to move their properties and valuables to other maps. Since this message has been posted almost a month in advance, we will not offer any compensation for lost valuables if you forget to move to another map!

  I’ve heard stuff about a New Daendroc. As for Ellador, that’s basically just Jorrhild, which looks much better anyways, imo.

Its sad that these maps are being removed ‘but at the same time it is needed. At least for a few days maps may be a bit over crowded as refugees seek new homelands =/

Ah Ellador, it’s where I made my very first home when I joined the server. I’ll miss exploring its oceans. :(
