Recently there have been a lot of small and large changes happening, for example you may have noticed that MassiveLock Shop has gone through some major changes. This post is intended to clear up some of the confusion and rumors and spell out exactly what has been done.

Hit Detection – Hit Detection was lacking on MassiveCraft and it caused PvP to be un-enjoyable. After much testing, coding and re-testing this has now been fixed and is now adjustable ingame by the PvP staff. Testing was done with players to find the “sweet spot” for use in PvP. For those that are unaware, this will mean you can hit players and mobs more easily with less lag involved. Better PvP for everyone!

New MassiveLock Shop Gui – The MassiveLock Shop feature has been revamped and is now more secure, functional and easy to use. The revamp makes use of a chest GUI which makes it easier for shoppers to determine what they pay and what they gain from using the shop. It also prevents possible bugs, cheats and exploits. We also added some features such as: Shift+click to see the contents of a chest! For those of you with older shops you may want to go through your listings and remove old ones before trying to put something up for sale. Happy shopping!

New MassiveShop item – The DragonMask4All has just been released, we realised players wanted these blocks available for decoration and to use as heads. The item has been added to our shop as a Gift4All meaning once someone donates for this item everyone online will receive one with the name of the player who donated on it. This item will not be able to be placed in Regalia however. Make sure you keep a slot empty in your inventory to snag one of these items!

Forum Tags – Tags on the forums such as @staff have been used for a long time, but recently it has become obvious that the @staff needed to be split up to make more streamlined and direct contact tags for the different staff. The new tags are now @game, @lore, @pvp, @forum, @wars these will tag specific staff directed at your needs. It’s important to remember that different staff specialize in different things. Tagging the right one could be the key to getting help as quick as possible.

Traits – All combat traits removed. We have decided to remove all combat related traits due to balancing issues and incompatibility with mcmmo. For example, the survival traits and mob truce traits will remain intact as well as jump and speed traits. Fireball damage was cut in half. This will take effect after the next server restart. Some of these traits may return in the future, but there is no set date now. Make sure to check your traits with /t i to see if you need some rebalancing.

ChestShop removal – ChestShop as a plugin has served us well for many years but now it is time to say goodbye. The plugin is as said old and does not function optimally any more. We realise many players still use this plugin for their market stalls but it is time to move on to MassiveLock Shop and wave goodbye nicely to ChestShops. The ChestShops will be removed at the earliest this weekend September 4th and at the latest next weekend September 11th.
