Becoming a Multiverse

MassiveCraft has finally become a multiverse. The center of the MassiveCraft Multiverse is called “The Multiverse Hub” and it just opened. Use any of these three commands to get there:

/mtp (an abbreviation for Multiverse Teleport)
/mspawn (an abbreviation for Multiverse Spawn)
/warp hub (yeah we added a warp to the location as well)

A Multiverse is a collection of Universes. We currently have three universes:

The Medieval Universe – Our main universe with Regalia, Ellador, Daendroc etc.
The Info Universe – Contains some information rooms and tutorials (/warp info).
The MiniGame Universe – Contains minigames and arenas (/warp minigame).

The medieval universe is our main one and the one we focust on the most. We are however currently working on expanding the minigame universe with some more minigames and arenas. We are also dreaming of adding a creative-mode universe and a science fiction one but these universes are currently just dreams and it could take 1-2 years before we get the time to add them.

Welp.

The idea of Massive being anything other then a Medieval Fantasy MMORPG saddens me. We really have the potential to be THE Minecraft MMORPG, better then Lord of the Craft by far. I just don’t want our resources split with another “universe”…

  Why not? It will be like it’s own server. And who said anything about splitting resources? This kind of thing is like Cayorion said about 1-2 years away and still just a vision we have. The Sci-Fi and fantasy universes will not be connected. Just an example is Blizzard with WarCaft (fantasy) and StarCraft (sci-fi). And the server sharding needs to be up and running successfully before we can even make a Sci-Fi Universe.

  We are not splitting our resources. All the staff members you see for Medieval will continue to work on Medieval. By the time Sci-Fi comes out, it will have it’s own staff recruited from that player base.

Dont do sci fi I and the other players mostly prefer the medieval rpg side of Massivecraft than sci fi mostly because there are not many servers you can find as great and fun as this one, but by adding sci fi it makes it seem pretty boring when it comes to Rp because sci fi takes place in the future and minecraft is mainly medieval excluding everything after 1.3.1

  please read my other replys and maybe that will tell you something. no one will force you to play in the Sci-Fi universe if you don’t want to and you don’t even need to visit it ever if we even launch one at all. Sci-Fi will not affect the medieval part of MassiveCraft IF we launch such a universe.

lol, players are so fun. They don’t like any kind of change or addition :P
The Si-fi world is a future project and will never interupt our medieval universe, that is our core gameplay, chillax and be happy about expansions.

I have a question about the sci-fi universe, would it include steampunk, or would the server have a separate steampunk universe?

In my opinion, I wouldn’t mind seeing a sci-fi world. (Especially if it’s texture pack would be as awesome as the current one! :D) The one problem I have though is that Minecraft is more medieval-y than science-fiction-y.

Scifi idea sounds pretty cool but I doubt it will turn out well I like the sound but I already play massivecraft original And I wont be botherd to switch.
