Happy Holidays! We hope you are all doing well this holiday season. We are pleased to see that the entire MassiveCraft community enjoyed the exciting gamemodes and new content released in the first part of this bundle! If you missed the initial post or are returning to MassiveCraft for the first time in a while, check out the announcement post of Part 1 here! In this second announcement, we are proud to share with you the details and release dates for three game changing projects coming to MassiveCraft this weekend!

The release schedule for Part 2 of the Factions Holiday Bundle is as follows:

  • Kingdoms Expansion to Factions: (Projected for Saturday, December 11th, between 18:00-00:00 GMT)
  • Ithania Survival World: (Projected for Saturday, December 11th, between 18:00-00:00 GMT)
  • The Ezekiel Event: (Projected for December 13th, but maybe sooner)

Due to real life commitments and unpredictable time constraints over the holiday season, projects may be delayed past their projected release dates. Although this is unlikely, we request that you please.

It’s time to take your factions survival experience to the next level and forge your lasting legacy. Bring your friends, allies and vassals under a single banner and face your allies and enemies united as one. This expansion brings several features to MassiveCraft that can only be used when your faction is part of a Kingdom.

Commands and Info:
/k help [page=1]
 for information on Kingdom commands
/k announce to make/remove/show announcements to your Kingdom
/k banner to set/change/remove your Kingdom’s banner. Requires banner in hand.
/k create {name} Creates a Kingdom. Command must be ran by faction leader. Costs 5000 regals.
/k description {description} Sets your Kingdom’s description.
/k disband/delete Disbands your Kingdom. Requires a confirmation.
/k flag list/set/show Manage Kingdom flags. Only available flag currently is OPEN.
/k home Teleport to your Kingdom home.
/k invite add/delete/list Manage factions invited to your Kingdom.
/k join {kingdom name} Joins your faction into a Kingdom. Must be faction leader.
/k kick {faction name} Kicks a faction from your Kingdom.
/k leave/revolt Leaves your faction from a Kingdom.
/k list Lists all Kingdoms.
/k mapcolor {color} Sets your Kingdom’s color on the Dynmap.
/k money balance/deposit/withdraw Manage your Kingdom’s bank.
/k name {new name} Changes your Kingdom’s name.
/k perm list/set/show/view Manage your Kingdom’s rank permissions.
/k rank edit/list/set/show Manage your Kingdom ranks.
/k relation check/list/set/status/wishes Manage your Kingdom’s relations and requests.
/k sethome Sets your Kingdom home.
/k unsethome Unsets your Kingdom home.
/k k/show/who {kingdom name} Shows information about specified Kingdom.

Frequently Asked Questions:
How much does it cost to create a Kingdom?
A: 5000 regals.

Are there any requirements to creating a Kingdom?
A: If you wish to create a Kingdom, your faction must have at least 100 chunks of land claimed.

How many factions can be part of a Kingdom?
A: No limit

Can my faction leave a Kingdom after we join?
A: Yes, you can currently leave a Kingdom anytime you wish on your own accord with /k leave.

How do I view what other factions are in my Kingdom?
A: Type /k show to display your Kingdom’s information, similar to how Factions operate.

How can another faction join my Kingdom?
A: Assuming you have invite permissions in your Kingdom, invite them using /k invite {faction name}. The leader of the faction must type /k join {kingdom name}.

Is there a way to force a faction to join my Kingdom?
A: Not currently. With the upcoming Kingdom’s expansion, Sieges, this will likely be possible.

Is there a way to force a faction to leave my Kingdom?
A: Yes, type /k kick {faction name}.

Can my alt factions be part of my Kingdom?
A: No.

What about alt accounts? Can they be part of non-alt factions in my Kingdom?
A: Yes, so long as they are abiding by our alt account rules.

Are there any specific rules related to Kingdoms that I need to know?
A: There may be some quirks with the plugin discovered post-release that we need to patch. Abusing such bugs is jailable. Please report all bugs by making a ticket.

From the vast expanse of snow and ice that covers the north in a coat of white, to the barren and perilous deserts that stretch across its southern border. The world of Ithania has a prominent and special place in MassiveCraft’s faction history.

Over the past few months Ithania has been faithfully recreated by MonMarty and Staff Members from World and Lore Departments that capture the essence of Ithania while simultaneously taking huge strides forward in world design, asset quality and biome creation.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Will there be PVP on release?
A: No, PVP will be off for 24 hours.

How will the release change compared to Essa?
A: To prevent any “squishing” incidents, players will be able to teleport to Ithania. You will be surrounded in a large box surrounded by glass, which will be removed at the time of release.

Will there be ‘natural time’ for players to explore Ithania before release?
A: There will likely not be any time for this.

What sort of moderation will be present at release to prevent unfair advantage (Elytra Glitching etc.)?
A: Elytras will be enabled. Mobs will not be present for 24 hours. The teleport into the glass box of Ithania’s spawn will be available beginning an hour before release. The glass box will be removed for everyone to explore once an in-game countdown has reached zero.

Will alt factions be allowed in Ithania?
A: No.
Ever?
A: Likely not.

What is the maximum amount of chunks I can claim in Ithania?
A: No limit, unless gaining claim power by abusing alt accounts. In this case, all claim will be removed.

What claiming limitations are present?
A: All chunks you claim will need to be connected. “Bridging” claims, meaning claiming a narrow line between two locations, is not allowed.

What will the spawn be called?
A: Havenreach

Will the spawn be the same as OG Ithania?
A: No

Will I be able to rent regions in Havenreach?
A: Yes, at some point we will add rentals.

Screams pierce the dead of night around Fort Presford. The library has been attacked, torched, and ruined beyond repair. Charred floorboards and desecrated books are all that remain. All the knowledge and history, gone to waste… Why would someone do such a thing unprovoked?

“The library was just the beginning. They destroy everything just to get to what they want. How do you think you stand a chance against them?”

Join us in the coming weeks for an extended survival event, the scale of which has never been seen before in this history of Massivecraft.

Left unchecked, this unknown threat could change the face of Essalonia forever. Prepare in all aspects for the worst, it will likely be a tough road ahead.

Much more information is to follow, with planned announcements at each chapter of The Ezekiel Event to guide you through each chapter, and inform you on the new systems that we will put in place to reward players who impactfully participate in The Ezekiel Event with extremely rare rewards.

To initiate the Ezekiel Event, speak to the Mayor of Fort Presford following the attack on the library. He should have some useful information for you.
