1st place: This prize goes to Jadex with the amazing poem above.
2nd place: The lucky man on the second place, Ben_2025.
3rd place: Last but certainly not least is a poem with a dark side by SilverAlbatross.
1st place poem:
Have you ever seen the Jungles of lore,
the trees with their leaves, their branches and more,
you think to set foot in would be quite a pity,
but you see in the middle there’s an ancient city,
it’s upon craggy hill you would have to climb,
It was thought to be desolate, forgotten in time,
the ancient temple is falling apart,
and the maze in the pyramid is endless and dark,
but in this forgotten city there lives many kinds of people,
although you could say a lot of them aren’t that regal,
these people are my family and besides,
The jungle of Daendroc is where my home resides.
2nd place poem:
So if the light of dawn begins to fade
And twilight ends its ever present hold.
Step forth unto the world let it unfold
For the terrors of night have fled to shade.
I’ve never left my dears I’ve always stayed,
A union set in stone I have foretold
Against the evil you will stand in gold.
Cry out! From wall to wall and palisade;
Come forth for I, Gwen shall never falter
My duty, my strength, I carry them through.
May the people be free from shore to shore
My destiny. Now that shall not alter.
From the ashes a people rise anew,
This land shall never know the tales of war.
3rd place poem:
ignoring the death around.
Steel clashes in the shadowed air
And my soul unleashes a sound.
The sound of pain; of pure aggression
The beast is let out at last
The man falls at my feet; merely
a memento of my past.
His soul would crumble and his world would fade and
his eyes will turn to black.
Because once you stare into the abyss, the abyss…
oh how it stares back.
