This is a quick news post with some updates on the world currently in production. The following worlds have been approved and are planned.
- Faradeen, Desert world and home of the Tigrans, Sadeir and Stone Golems(placeholder name)
- Hadar, Ocean water world and home to the Tokaige, Diolya and Maiar
- Jorrhildr, Arctic ice world and home to the Frostmanes
- Dark realm(placeholder name) corrupted home of the Leoids (an overworld mixture of the End and the Nether)
Faradeen is currently entering pre-production stages, this project is lead by Tom1804. Faradeen will feature long forgotten cities buried by sand dunes and giant ruins of an old civilization. The fallen Sadeir wage a never-ending war with their former slaves, the Stone Golems who have survived the cataclysmic end which befell the Sadeir civilization.
Hadar is already in production and already has a decent geographical shape. This project is lead by Severek. Hadar will feature large oceans with sunken cities, and small islands with sprawling asian themed cities inhabited by the Tokaige lizard race. It will also feature small jungles with large “hive trees”, homes of the Diolya insect race.
Jorrhildr just started production and the geography is well underway. This project is lead by MonMarty. Jorrhildr will be a fairly simple world, true to the antarctic region, it will feature large land masses of ice, snow and mountains with very little to no vegetation (It is also only 1/4 the size of Ithania). Additionally, all races except the Frostmanes will freeze to death within a minute unless they wear leather armour. The world itself has a shallow ocean, meaning the mountains in Jorrhildr are probbaly the largest in MassiveCraft, peaking nearly 200 blocks from sealevel. The Frostmane will be the native beast species inhabiting this continent, a dying breed forced to invade Ellador for food.
Dark Realm will not start production untill all other worlds are finished. Plans for this world are: Eternal darkness, wild rare wither boss spawns, natural ender creature spawns, natural ground resources such as End-stone and other difficult to obtain blocks.
All these worlds will be made with Worldpainter, TerrainControl is becoming increasingly unfeasible to use on quick world production, and we lack the personell capable of handeling this complex plugin.

Is there any news on the release of Regalia yet?
Regalia is like everything on massive:
It comes out when we are done and statisfied with the result.
But there are some facts about regalia on the forum in a staff blog ;)

Is there no TerrainControl because Wessex has dissapeared? :(
Wessex didn’t dissapear, he’s jsut horribly busy with his live. We can learn worldpainter in some hours, but to master TC you need weaks!
And the abilitys given with worldpainter are awesome aswell, so what… ;)
im sad that from what it seems Dark World will be released last T_T

Hadar Info needs to be updated because they changed the race names.
The Arctic region sounds amazing the whole freeze to death thing. I just hope they make it so if you are within X blocks of a fire or X blocks of lava you are ok though.
^so long as it doesn’t apply to torches though, else the map will be spammed in them.
So you will be adding the Leoid with the release of the Dark World!!
