The old IP is no longer supported

The old IP “mc.massivecraft.com” is no longer supported.
Simply use “massivecraft.com” without the “mc.”.

Ive tried to connect to it since the hostname change and it says “can’t reach server” yet ive been playing this for 6 months. I tried the mc.massivecraft.com but it says that i need to resolve the hostname im kinda bumed. Please help me fix this if you can?

  Did you not read the news post content? mc.massivecraft.com is supposed to /not/ work now. Use massivecraft.com

  Whether the M is capital or not does not matter. It works fine with just “massivecraft.com”.

I’m also having trouble logging in. I enter the server address as “massivecraft.com”, yet I still get the red “Can’t reach server” message…

Your login issues probably have nothing to do with the IP change. It’s probably caused by another bug. For me to help you can’t just write 5-7 words. That’s far to little information. I need detailed descriptions, screenshots and the exact error messages. Every detail counts.

  Okay. When I enter the multiplayer mode all my servers load except for Massivecraft. It says polling under the server name as a blue bar sweeps up and down the internet bars. The after about three seconds the “polling” stops and disapears and in the same spot as the polling it says Can’t connect to server.

Okay. when I enter the multiplayer mode all my servers load except for Massivecraft. It says polling after the rest of the servers load under the internet bars. then after about 3 seconds the internet bars get one red bar and says “Can’t reach server” above the IP adress and below the server name.

All it says when I try and join is Outdated client. I understand the posts here are a month old, but i just found out about this and would really like to join. is there anything that can be done?

  You are using 1.7.2. Downgrade to minecraft 1.6.4. This can be done in the launcher.
