Lore
Lore Updates:
Changes Submitted by MonMarty
This is kind of a “treading the waters” thing. We completely updated and merged concepts of Faith of the Dark Ancients and Cult of Evolution into one Void Worship Page, scrapping a bunch of gods that lacked true identity or applicability to roleplay, and made new ones in place of them. https://wiki.massivecraft.com/Void_Worship This is “treading the waters” because it proposes some alternative information we’re not 100% on yet. A lot of the other prior Void Worship religions was complicated, self contradictory, and not relevant to deep lore. Furthermore, the fact that there were 2 Void Worships, while there is only 1 sort of Exist Worship, Void Worshipers were needlessly split up. We kept the most important ones like Odella, Ifrit and Thousand Eyes, while remodeling the others and largely preserving Eloblina also as a foil.
For now the other two pages remain up as a contrast reference, until we decide that we’re happy with the lore and take them down.
If you are a prior Dark Ancients/Evolution worshiper, consider if the current spread of gods and worship is better for you or not. Try not to focus too hard on individual gods being gone, but look more at the complete picture of all the gods. If you still feel like you lost something nichewise that didn’t come back in the update, feel free to make a ticket and we’ll take it into consideration.

Quest
Quest is translating the Game notes to a Quest Storyboard and code for the Race Dungeon.
- Derpadillo coded and tested 1.17 block quests & deepslate, tuff, and calcite so far.
- Iyyuishi wrote some quests for races dungeons.
PR
Business as usual for PR. Most have their own individual projects that they are working on, while we are also making sure to advertise the server through social media. We also had an extra SoMe (social media) speedrun this week, discussing and coming up with better ways to improve advertisement for the server.
- Oblivaify: worked on the Kingdoms page for the website.
- Femma: Did social media upkeep.
- Ocularum: Helped Game with the new Rift spawn, made graphics for projects, and started on an economy survey for roleplayers.
- Goldifish: did a spotlight and a photoshoot.
Tech
Tech had a quieter week, but we’ll be working this next week.
- LexicalDevil has continued to work to gain familiarity with MassiveCore and MassiveCraft development. Also worked on bug fixes and enhancements in MassiveFx.
- FourThirteen worked on an upcoming feature for factions, finished the first iteration of documentation for sieges and wrote scripts to help game speed up with a process.
- Birb and Fourthirteen made extensive progress on Sieges and review of Sieges. Birb worked on writers for Mythic Items and migrators.
World
It has been a quiet week for World, though most of this week’s efforts have gone into estate construction and decoration, as well as some Staff projects.
- MonMarty: constructed more estates for the noble district.
- WaterDruppel: worked on estate decoration, Regalian upkeep and the potential lobby rework.
- Bunemma: (re)decorated several shops around the city.
Game
This week Game has worked on the following projects:
- We are preparing a fresh new rift. Most of the work is done, so expect the announcement of it going live within the next few days!
- We made an update to the mob limit: you can now have 50 mobs of the same type near to each other (note, this does not count chunks, but counts mobs within distance of each other as a single group). Name-tagged mobs will now also despawn, although the plugin looks for non-nametagged mobs first. Note that this is an automated plugin, staff does not manually visit your farm to kill off mobs!
- Glow ink sacs have been found to cause lag in the market. Do not use them to make a glow sign! Any glow signs found by staff will be returned to a regular sign without refund of the glow ink sac.
- As per usual, we completed 50+ tickets and answered numerous questions.
- MoistWhenWet worked on MythicMobs and assisted players.
- NjMcr worked on the rift rework and assisted players.
- Effloresce_ worked on the rift rework and assisted players.
- Physicsfrog worked on the rift rework and assisted players.
- Rahm_Kota worked on the upcoming Sieges plugin, the rift rework and assisted players.
- Sevak worked on the race dungeons, updated the PvP scoreboard and assisted players.
- skhosh worked on MythicMobs for the upcoming race dungeons and assisted players.
- QGMK aided players, trained Game Staff members, updated in-game announcements, updated the mob limiter, investigated players, handled appeals and reports, updated pages on the main website, and wrote content for voting sites.
