Direction
This week, Direction focused upcoming changes to the Spawns for Factions, Lore, Quest, and Creative!

  • LumosJared focused on Individual Direction and HR, Staff Applications, new staff training, and [[REDACTED]].
  • MonMarty worked primarily on Race updates and prep work for V6.

Game
This week, the Game Department has been busy. We welcomed The_Fluorspar back to the Game Team, and significant progress has been made on the KitPVP rework, Gauntlet Dungeons, Kingdoms & Sieges, and [REDACTED].

We are excited for a new plugin, McDuels, coming to Massive which will completely change our KitPVP world, allowed for 1v1, 2v2, FFA, and more. We made 3 new KitPVP maps this week and will be creating more.

Gauntlet Dungeons is coming along swimmingly. We are uncertain yet if we will be releasing levels 11-20 or levels 11-30 in the next batch, but we have 5 new levels created.

We are working closely with Tech Staff as they begin the coding process of Kingdoms & Sieges! We will be releasing the Kingdoms portion first before Sieges are released to give everyone a chance to build up their Kingdom before Sieges start! Start refining your interpersonal relationships with others!

We are sure many of you are wondering what the plan for netherite will be once 1.16 arrives. We can say for certain it will be a rare resource, possibly obtainable through certain events or rare nether mob drops. We do not have a concrete plan yet.

  • BlueChaos aided players and spent time devising a plan for netherite implementation.
  • QGMK aided players, handled appeals and reports, aided in the KitPVP rework, built Gauntlet Dungeons levels, began updating [REDACTED], and spent time devising a plan for netherite implementation.
  • Notchyherobrine aided players, hosted events, and tested plugins for the new KitPVP rework.
  • The_Fluorspar aided in the KitPVP rework and tested MassiveCombat configurations.
  • Winterless aided players, created maps for the KitPVP rework, and tested mythic mobs.
  • AzureShoyru answered help chats, hosted events, tested [REDACTED], built a spawn for the KitPVP rework, and aided in the MassiveCraft 10 Year Anniversary planning.
  • Sweet_Dreams answered help chats, hosted events, and built a spawn for the KitPVP rework.
  • Sir_Daragon aided players, tested mythic mobs, aided in reworking the Factions Discord, hosted events, and trained Game Staff.

Quest
This week saw the release of a often requested feature: the ability to reset your Silverwind story progress. Any player can do so by paying 100 regals to the Quest Master in the Silverwind harbour. This allows you to play through the story again and experience some of the different paths or collect some of the lore items you missed out on. Don’t worry, this will only reset your story quests and not affect your mining/smithing and herbalism levels. Silverwind also saw some gamerule changes: Players now wont lose their items on death, can access their /bp and traits have been disabled there. This is all in an effort to make the world more self sustainable and new player friendly.   • Lazzulai did event acting for the Eriunin festival.
  • Derpadillo coded a story reset quest for Silverwind.
  • The_Fluorspar did quality assurance on this week’s quest content.
  • Vegemiite coded the upcoming quest ‘Making Amends’ and did event acting.

World
This week was filled with re-distribution of player business regions, noble estates, and a re-build of Petalcourt. Various regions received new interior and ‘facelifts’, including but not limited to the Bancroft estate, the new Nordlig Kettle, the Silverlight Den, Peirgarten Perfumes, Imperial Inks, the Nook, and the Burrow — make sure to check out mainstreet to visit!

  • Bunemma Same as WaterDruppel, also did some event assistance.
  • SpunSugar Pasting in noble estates, Peirgarten Perfumes, and some event set up.
  • WaterDruppel Worked on the Burrow, Imperial Inks, Silverlight Den, Moon’s Shine and Mysticism, and the Bancroft estate.
  • EdnaMode Re-construction of Petalcourt, Nook’s interior, event assistance.

PR
This week, PR has been hard at work with research on how we could make the server experience better for players new and old, as well as the usual social media work and such. PR has also been testing the resource pack in anticipation of future updates.

  • Seoulmate has been handing out projects, as well as having been assigned projects by Spetec and looking into improving our Facebook presence, in addition to the usual Weekend Roundup.
  • Miracle678 has been working on the Daily Creeper and maintaining our Twitter presence.
  • Hierophat_ has been working on tickets for event announcements and gathering info on social media embeds.
  • Battlebrawn has been updating and maintaining our PMC page.
  • Essentialess has been working on setting up our Tumblr and researching and assessing the forums layout.
  • SpecTec has worked on obtaining statistics for when new players quit, and in what world they quit in, among other things, all of which were to improve the new player experience, as well as voting statistics. They’ve added the 8th Voting Site to our webpage, as well as maintaining our Reddit page, including replying to comments. They’ve been looking into updated the information on the voting websites. Finally, they’ve been assigning projects to other members of PR.
  • Wan_Xia has been working on finding resource pack bugs in anticipation of future updates, as well as designing PvP arenas for future events.

Tech
This week, tech has been fixing multiple bugs in preparation for the 1.16 update:

  • CS_Birb has updated McMMO along with its configs. He has also been trialling a bug fix for CreativeGates where it will not allow you to create a gate in a specific direction and setting up multiple new plugins for further feature enhancements for the server.
  • XxXYaJrAbXxX has been working on the factions toggle-able notifications so players can disable the notifications they would not like to receive. He has also been doing development on Kingdoms to create the base plugin and adding customisable ranks. He has also fixed an issue with MassiveSkulls where skulls from the old plugin were losing their name and updated the plugin to transfer over to the new format.
  • Ghirko has been working with XxXYaJrAbXxX to also make races fully customisable from the config command so values can be customised live while in game. She has also done some work on Kingdoms to help get ranks into the plugin.
  • Derpadillo, FourThirteen and TheComputerGeek2 have been working on a new plugin for chest GUIs to be implemented into the server to allow a much more friendly user interface for players when they first join the server.
