Direction
This week, Direction focused on Individual Direction and Paperwork, specifically helping out the Game Department better communicate to the player base, and assisting in the training of new aspirants. A few new aspirants were also taken on, and the usual bout of Server Emails, and Project Assigning were completed. Game
1.15 is here! With the transition from 1.13 to 1.15, most all of the features and blocks added in 1.14 and 1.15 are now available to players. Tech is continuing to work hard to fix bugs with the update, so if you find any, be sure to report them here: https://forums.massivecraft.com/forms/bug-report.7/respond Races are coming! We are in the final stage of balancing and testing, so expect their arrival on the server soon. Gauntlet Dungeons are coming! We are nearing completion for the first 10 levels, which will be available before the rest. Last week, we introduced World Edit/Terraforming service for regals (https://forums.massivecraft.com/threads/world-edit-terraforming-service.87711/) and became aware of an issue with item frames disappearing in some specific areas of Essalonia. If you have noticed any item frames suddenly disappear, please make a ticket in game or on the MassiveCraft Discord (https://www.massivecraft.com/discord) Please include coordinates! The usual 40 player tickets, numerous help chats, world cleanup and restoration, and naughty player investigations were completed. We hosted KOTH and Checkers events this week! World
Following 1.15’s release earlier this week, world’s begun work on bringing Regalia up to speed as well. Various spots on the map were updated with the new blocks, including main street, a handful of ships, and a final set of builds (flesh trees, giants mushrooms) for the upcoming ‘Dreamworld’ soon to be finished. Fixes to the resourcepack are already being discussed and reviewed, the coliseum and surrounding businesses are being rebuilt around the previous ‘Wunderbar’, and as usual, various events including the ongoing autumn festival were decorated and set up for.

  • WaterDruppel x5: Eleng, v6, Drakenheim.
  • Patsie x2: Finally got around to doing the BO2 Pack for the nightmare forest in Bellarmina’s dream realm. They’re located in Marty’s World towards the Kathar builds from before. I ended up doing a bunch of variations as well as showing Bellarmina how to use the world edit tools to create the trees for herself. We did some experiments and ended up also converting some of the mushrooms to a darker theme. This took around 2 hours of productive build time, and finished up the pack to complete the Isle!
  • SpunSugar x5: Estates.
  • Bunemma x3: Set up for KK’s event at Rothburg. Main square was cleared with a stage set up, as well as an empty building decorated for another event of his. Decorated the courtyard of the Salvation Church for sadsoda’s upcoming event and tickets.

  • Strange things afoot in Regalia this time o’ the year. Cauldrons burbling with a fetid concoction. Three women dancing in the pale moonlight. They have little errands for you to run, would you kindly?
  • The Songaskian Ambassador is shaking up the city with his events! Usually are late night venues, so keep a lookout!

Roleplay Updates:

  • If you (a player) are granted a Business Region (which you do not pay for, in most cases), you are not permitted, under any circumstances, to hand this business off to someone else without Staff approval.
  • Concerning Public Buildings / Taverns / Organizational Buildings.
  • In lieu of Monmarty’s announcement a couple of days ago, I have added all known public shop buildings onto the Main Street Property spreadsheet (renamed Business Property spreadsheet) so that we can keep track of who owns what, and what is actively being actively used.

  • Instead of having these regions granted through PMs or forum applications, you will be able to request one of these larger organization regions through the Ticket Bot, where each application can be reviewed personally by myself and world staff. Take note that the original purpose of the region should be respected (for example, the Wunderbar must always remain a tavern) but the name and ownership may change. In the absence of any owner, they will be considered public buildings — meaning that any player may claim to work in them or host an event out of them.

Quest
The Quest department is actively recruiting! The Quest department is responsible for the in-game questing experience, which involves writing storylines, transferring storylines into quest code, and then inputting that code in-game for debugging and quality assurance testing. Along the way you’ll also create NPCs, WorldGuard regions, MythicMobs, and exciting environments, and overall let your creativity flow.   • Derpadillo x2: Department Overhead.
  • The_Fluorspar x3: Wrote 11 additional teleport quests using citizen plugin NPC’s so players can go to /tp essa through the tutorial (which you’re forced to go through when taking the factions gate at lobby). The other 10 teleports are for the upcoming [[REDACTED]] tutorial and are comprised of 9 [[REDACTED]] rooms and a shared teleport back to the middle of the [[REDACTED]] tutorial room.

PR
This week FlossyBerryRene finished up some changes to our artist spotlight system and was able to implement those changes with a new spotlight, which was covered on the forums and Instagram. With PMC upkeep and social media postings, we worked on a good amount of things! This was along side the addition of a new member to our team, Qoll! FlossyBerryRene was able to show the ropes to the new aspirant, and Qoll even did a write up of a creative competition!

  • Hierophant x5: I have interviewed the player beashslap after getting recommendations for him from other members of staff from different departments, and I have taken an aesthetic screenshot of him in game, the post will be put out tonight after the meeting as to not coincide too much with the weekly staff log forums post. Also tickets.
  • Battlebrawn x4: Adding the weekly updates to our PMC page and updating it to stay relevant in the top search lists for roleplay and factions servers, namely updating the tags and SEO.

Tech
This week, tech has been focusing on the 1.15 update as well as MassiveRaces. CS_Birb has been updating the servers and creating scripts to migrate all of the data from external plugins. CS_Birb and XxXYaJrAbXxX has also been working on a lot of bug fixes that were missed in the testing phase when updating the test server (thank you everyone who reported the bugs so they could be fixed in a swift manner!) such as the mythic mobs spawning in faction land. Derpadillo and XxXYaJrAbXxX have been working on MassiveRaces changing from some older methods and making them more efficient including quality of life improvements to the plugin to list the races and display their abilities within the plugin. ItsLateKnight has been working on some of the custom recipes for the datapack such as including a recipe to get stripped logs and all of their variants.
